We’re a little late in posting about this, but wanted to share this article nonetheless. Wade Roush of Xconomy recently profiled local start-up, Immerz, Inc. Immerz was recently named one of eleven finalists in the Consumer Electronics Association’s annual i-stage competition, naming it’s KOR-fx technology one of the most innovative consumer technology products to hit the market next year. Immerz’ “acousto-haptic” device enhances a gamer’s sense of being immersed in a game (or a movie or a song). Immerz plans to bring the product to market in the first quarter of 2010, focusing first on PC gamers and later on console players.
